Democrats achieved significant victories in the US midterm elections, flipping six Republican-held seats in the House of Representatives and capturing two crucial Senate seats in North Carolina and South Carolina. They also secured the governorship in Georgia, ending over two decades of Republican control. These gains represent a notable setback for President Donald Trump's Republican Party and could alter the balance of power in Washington for the remainder of his term.
