Centre Extends Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad's Tenure Till May 2027

The Centre has granted a six-month extension to Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, allowing him to continue in his role until May 31, 2027. This decision comes after a request from the Andhra Pradesh state government. Mr. Sai Prasad, a 1991-batch IAS officer, assumed charge as Chief Secretary on February 28, 2026. This extension is intended to ensure administrative continuity in the state under his leadership. The Department of Personnel and Training issued the orders approving the extension.

केंद्र ने आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव जी. साई प्रसाद को छह महीने का विस्तार दिया है, जिससे वे 31 मई 2027 तक अपने पद पर बने रहेंगे। यह फैसला आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार के अनुरोध के बाद आया है। 1991 बैच के IAS अधिकारी श्री साई प्रसाद ने 28 फरवरी 2026 को मुख्य सचिव का पदभार संभाला था। इस विस्तार का उद्देश्य उनके नेतृत्व में राज्य में प्रशासनिक निरंतरता सुनिश्चित करना है। कार्मिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग ने विस्तार को मंजूरी देने वाले आदेश जारी किए हैं।
