Cotton in Telangana's Adilabad market yard achieved a record price of ₹9,260 per quintal from private traders on Thursday, significantly surpassing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹8,667. The district collector inaugurated the procurement process, with 33 ginning mills and 18 procurement centres established across the district. Farmers were provided with basic amenities, including drinking water and a subsidized meal scheme. Trading is expected to increase as cotton picking continues, though yields may be affected by deficit rainfall and a dry spell in north Telangana.

गुरुवार को तेलंगाना की आदिलाबाद मंडी में कपास का भाव ₹9,260 प्रति क्विंटल के रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर पहुँच गया। यह न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) ₹8,667 से काफी ज़्यादा है। जिला कलेक्टर ने खरीद प्रक्रिया का उद्घाटन किया। पूरे जिले में 33 जिनिंग मिलें और 18 खरीद केंद्र स्थापित किए गए हैं। किसानों को पीने के पानी और सब्सिडी वाले भोजन जैसी बुनियादी सुविधाएँ दी गईं। कपास की तुड़ाई जारी रहने से व्यापार बढ़ने की उम्मीद है, हालाँकि उत्तर तेलंगाना में कम बारिश और सूखे की वजह से पैदावार प्रभावित हो सकती है।
