Uttar Pradesh Extends Millet Procurement Till

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved the extension of Shree Anna (millet) procurement-27. Minimum support prices have been set for Maldandi jowar, hybrid jowar, bajra, and maize. The state aims to procure 2.20 lakh metric tonnes of bajra, 50,000 metric tonnes of jowar, and 15,000 metric tonnes of maize. Procurement will occur through designated centres using e-PoP devices with biometric verification to ensure transparency and direct payments to farmers' bank accounts within 48 hours.

उत्तर प्रदेश कैबिनेट ने श्री अन्न (मिलेट) की खरीद 27 तक बढ़ाने को मंजूरी दे दी है। मालदंडी ज्वार, हाइब्रिड ज्वार, बाजरा और मक्के के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य तय किए गए हैं। राज्य का लक्ष्य 2.20 लाख मीट्रिक टन बाजरा, 50,000 मीट्रिक टन ज्वार और 15,000 मीट्रिक टन मक्का खरीदना है। खरीद ई-पॉप डिवाइस और बायोमेट्रिक सत्यापन का उपयोग करके निर्धारित केंद्रों के माध्यम से की जाएगी, जिससे पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित होगी और किसानों के बैंक खातों में 48 घंटे के भीतर सीधे भुगतान किया जाएगा।
