Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2023, with her daughter Soha Ali Khan recently sharing details of her treatment. Although detected at stage zero, doctors confirmed the cancer was malignant only during the surgery. Tagore insisted on the procedure, and surgeons were able to remove all the malignant cells. This early detection and complete removal meant she did not require chemotherapy, marking a best-case scenario for her diagnosis.
