These measures are in place for a protest organised by the CJP at Jantar Mantar against the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The group is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Security has been heightened with large police deployments and barricades. Commuters are advised to expect disruptions around central Delhi and allow extra travel time. Metro station gates and mobile internet services were also affected.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने शनिवार सुबह से ही पूरे राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में बड़े पैमाने पर यातायात प्रतिबंध और डायवर्जन लागू कर दिए हैं। ये उपाय जंतर-मंतर पर CJP द्वारा मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण के खिलाफ आयोजित एक विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए किए गए हैं। समूह मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहा है। भारी पुलिस बल की तैनाती और बैरिकेडिंग के साथ सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई है। यात्रियों को मध्य दिल्ली के आसपास व्यवधान की उम्मीद करने और यात्रा के लिए अतिरिक्त समय देने की सलाह दी जाती है। मेट्रो स्टेशन के गेट और मोबाइल इंटरनेट सेवाएं भी प्रभावित हुईं।
