WazirX Rebuilds Security, Focuses on AI and Recovery Post-Cyberattack

Cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has completed a year of rebuilding operations after an 18-month pause following an 2024 cyberattack and restructuring. Founder Nischal Shetty stated the past year was treated as a 'rebirth,' with a renewed focus on security, customer support, and product innovation. The exchange eliminated trading fees, charging only a one per cent TDS on sales, and saw futures trading volumes surge by approximately 240 per cent between July and September. WazirX is now concentrating on recovering value for creditors and optimizing AI tools to enhance trader outcomes.
