Denise Richards Champions Shelter Dogs Through Hollywood Adoption Campaign

Actress Denise Richards leveraged her Hollywood fame to promote shelter animal adoption via a monthly television segment launched in February 2011. Partnering with Best Friends Animal Society and Access Hollywood Live, the initiative introduced rescued animals needing homes to viewers. Richards, a longtime ambassador for Best Friends, featured the first dog, Rascal, a tan Chihuahua from Los Angeles. This effort aimed to give shelter pets greater exposure and encourage viewers to consider adoption. Richards also personally adopted a blind dog named Preston through the organization.
