Kareena Kapoor's Daayra Records Lowest Career Opening

Meghna Gulzar's directorial Daayra, starring Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has opened to a slow response at the box office, collecting an estimated ₹90 lakh on its first day. The crime thriller, released in Hindi and Malayalam, is about police officers facing a moral conflict. The Hindi version contributed the majority of the opening day collection. Daayra is also competing with Kunal Kemmu's directorial Vibe, which released on the same day.
