Student Activists Detained in Delhi Over CEC Controversy

Student organization AISA protested in Delhi concerning a controversy involving Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Several activists attempting to demonstrate at prominent locations like RK Ashram and Connaught Place were taken into custody by the Delhi Police. The police stated the action was taken to maintain peace and order. The protest was initially planned for Jantar Mantar, but many activists could not reach Delhi due to train cancellations. Upon arrival the next day, they tried to protest demanding the CEC's resignation.

छात्र संगठन AISA ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त (CEC) ज्ञानेश कुमार से जुड़े एक विवाद को लेकर दिल्ली में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। आरके आश्रम और कनॉट प्लेस जैसे प्रमुख स्थानों पर प्रदर्शन करने की कोशिश कर रहे कई कार्यकर्ताओं को दिल्ली पुलिस ने हिरासत में ले लिया। पुलिस ने कहा कि यह कार्रवाई शांति और व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए की गई। यह विरोध प्रदर्शन मूल रूप से जंतर मंतर पर आयोजित किया जाना था, लेकिन कई कार्यकर्ताओं को ट्रेन रद्द होने के कारण दिल्ली पहुंचने में दिक्कत हुई। अगले दिन पहुंचने पर, उन्होंने सीईसी के इस्तीफे की मांग करते हुए विरोध करने की कोशिश की।
