India Rejects UN Report Calling D-Company India-Based Criminal Group

India Today · world

India has strongly refuted a UN special rapporteur's description of Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company as an "India-based" criminal group. Raghoo Puri, First Secretary at India's UN Mission, highlighted "glaring inaccuracies" in the report, stating that such factual errors undermine the world body's credibility. Puri clarified that Ibrahim, the group's leader, had fled India long before his 2003 UN listing for Al-Qaeda links. He emphasized that Ibrahim remains a wanted criminal in India and was living in Pakistan when Osama bin Laden was found there.
