Kerala Court Judge Angry At Accused's Uniform Look, Warns Strict Action

In a Kochi court, 16 accused in the 2018 Abhimanyu murder case appeared in identical white shirts, lungis, black shoes, caps, and masks, making them difficult to distinguish. Principal District and Sessions Judge K.K. Balakrishnan expressed anger at this attempt to conceal identity and ordered them to remove their masks. He warned that any further attempts to hide their appearance during the trial would result in strict action. The trial, which began eight years after the incident, is now recording eyewitness testimonies.

कोच्चि की एक अदालत में, 2018 के अभिमन्यु हत्याकांड के 16 आरोपी एक जैसी सफेद शर्ट, लुंगी, काले जूते, टोपी और मास्क पहने हुए थे, जिससे उन्हें पहचानना मुश्किल हो रहा था। प्रिंसिपल डिस्ट्रिक्ट एंड सेशंस जज के.के. बालकृष्णन ने पहचान छिपाने की इस कोशिश पर गुस्सा जाहिर किया और उन्हें मास्क हटाने का आदेश दिया। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि सुनवाई के दौरान उनकी पहचान छिपाने की कोई भी और कोशिश सख्त कार्रवाई का कारण बनेगी। घटना के आठ साल बाद शुरू हुई इस सुनवाई में अब गवाहों के बयान दर्ज किए जा रहे हैं।
