Texas Teen Arrested for Plotting Terror Attack and Assassination

A 17-year-old McKinney, Texas, teen has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly planning to assassinate U.S. Representative Keith Self and carry out a terrorist attack in North Texas on behalf of ISIS. The juvenile was taken into custody on October 5 after acquiring a firearm, according to federal law enforcement sources. The suspect, whose name has not been released, had reportedly been recently radicalized and was under federal surveillance. Representative Self stated that protecting the republic from radical Islam is a difficult task and expressed confidence in his security.
