Manipur to Form Committee of 36 Communities for Peace

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh announced the formation of a committee representing all 36 communities to foster peace and harmony. This initiative follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inquiry about such a body. The committee will aim to promote cohesion, inclusive development, and strengthen brotherhood among the diverse ethnic groups in the state. The announcement was made during a felicitation ceremony for hill chiefs, coinciding with the Mera Hou Chongba Festival. The government also inaugurated a guest house to improve ties between hill and valley communities.

मणिपुर के मुख्यमंत्री वाईखोम खेमचंद सिंह ने शांति और सद्भाव को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सभी 36 समुदायों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाली एक समिति के गठन की घोषणा की। यह पहल प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा ऐसी संस्था के बारे में पूछताछ के बाद हुई है। समिति का उद्देश्य राज्य में विभिन्न जातीय समूहों के बीच एकजुटता, समावेशी विकास और भाईचारे को मजबूत करना होगा। यह घोषणा पहाड़ी प्रमुखों के लिए एक अभिनंदन समारोह के दौरान की गई, जो मेरा होउ चोंगबा महोत्सव के साथ मेल खाती थी। सरकार ने पहाड़ी और घाटी समुदायों के बीच संबंधों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए एक अतिथि गृह का भी उद्घाटन किया।
