Marnus Labuschagne's Cricket Career: From Top Rankings to Recent Struggles

Times of India · sports

Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne is facing a significant career downturn, struggling to convert starts into big scores. Once ranked the world's best Test batter, surpassing the 'Fab Four', his form has dramatically declined since 2023. In recent innings, he has averaged significantly lower, with only one century and twelve fifties since 2023, a stark contrast to his earlier prolific run-scoring. This decline is particularly noticeable against pace bowling, an area where he previously excelled. His recent dismissal against South Africa further highlighted these ongoing batting challenges.
