The Hindu · india
A significant data breach at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has exposed hundreds of filmmakers' applications online, The Hindu reported. The leaked data includes shooting scripts with annotations, summaries of censorship cuts, and commercially sensitive film distribution agreements. These records, dating from December 2025 to August 2026, were found on the Internet Archive. The breach originated from the censor board’s e-Cinepramaan portal, raising concerns about the security of proprietary film information.
