Mumbai Airport Asks Select Gulf Carriers To Shift Flights To Navi Mumbai

Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), controlled by the Adani Group, has directed select Gulf carriers to relocate their flights to Navi Mumbai starting from the summer season of 2027. This directive is necessary for the redevelopment of Terminal 1 at the existing Mumbai airport, which is scheduled for completion in 2029. MIAL stated that the Mumbai airport's capacity will be reduced by five million passengers annually, making it unable to accommodate the requested flights.
