Nagenthran criticized the minister for failing to address key issues like rising electricity costs and prisoner escapes, calling the conspiracy claims baseless. He argued that the TVK government's alleged attempts to poach legislators from other parties are a diversion from its own inefficiencies. Nagenthran asserted that such tactics cannot conceal the government's poor performance.

तमिलनाडु बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष नैनार नागेंद्रन ने मंत्री सी.टी.आर. निर्मल कुमार के इस आरोप का खंडन किया है कि एआईएडीएमके और बीजेपी टीवीके-नीत सरकार को अस्थिर करने की साजिश रच रहे हैं। नागेंद्रन ने मंत्री की आलोचना की कि वे बिजली की बढ़ती लागत और कैदियों के भागने जैसे अहम मुद्दों को संबोधित करने में विफल रहे, और साजिश के दावों को निराधार बताया। उन्होंने तर्क दिया कि टीवीके सरकार द्वारा कथित तौर पर अन्य दलों के विधायकों को तोड़ने के प्रयास उसकी अपनी अक्षमताओं से ध्यान भटकाने के लिए हैं। नागेंद्रन ने जोर देकर कहा कि ऐसी चालें सरकार के खराब प्रदर्शन को छिपा नहीं सकतीं।
