Supreme Court to Hear Appeal Against Film Ban

The Supreme Court will hear an appeal against the ban on the animated film Mahaprabhu Jagannath. The film's makers, Ele Animations, are challenging the ban, which was imposed for allegedly not being true to the ‘Skanda Purana’. The movie was scheduled for a nationwide release on July 17 in over 300 theatres.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में 'महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ' फिल्म पर लगे बैन के खिलाफ़ अपील पर सुनवाई होगी। फिल्म बनाने वाली कंपनी Ele Animations ने इस बैन को चुनौती दी है। आरोप है कि फिल्म 'स्कंद पुराण' के अनुसार नहीं है। यह फिल्म 17 जुलाई को 300 से ज़्यादा सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज़ होने वाली थी।
