India Faces Major GenAI, Cloud Talent Gap

India is experiencing a significant talent deficit in crucial areas like Generative AI and cloud computing, with a gap estimated between 53% and 60%. A report by TeamLease Digital reveals that only 16% of IT professionals currently possess AI skills. Out of 20 lakh professionals who have undergone upskilling, a mere three lakh have acquired advanced AI capabilities. This shortage poses a considerable challenge for India's technological advancement and its ability to compete globally in these rapidly evolving fields.
