Varanasi Meat Shops Fined Rs 6,000 For Selling Meat In Open

Varanasi Municipal Corporation conducted an inspection drive against meat shops near Andhrapul, fining eight establishments a total of Rs 6,000 for violating norms. The shops were found selling meat in the open and operating without required curtains, exposing the meat to public view. Unsanitary conditions were also noted around the premises. Municipal commissioner Himanshu Nagpal instructed the campaign, led by joint municipal commissioner Jitendra Anand and veterinary officer Dr Vijay Amritraj. This drive aims to ensure cleanliness and adherence to regulations across the city.

वाराणसी नगर निगम ने आंध्रपुल के पास मांस की दुकानों के खिलाफ एक निरीक्षण अभियान चलाया, नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर आठ प्रतिष्ठानों पर कुल 6,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया। दुकानों में मांस खुले में बेचा जा रहा था और आवश्यक पर्दे के बिना संचालित हो रहा था, जिससे मांस जनता की नजरों के सामने आ रहा था। परिसर के आसपास भी अस्वास्थ्यकर स्थिति देखी गई। नगर आयुक्त हिमांशु नागपाल ने संयुक्त नगर आयुक्त जितेंद्र आनंद और पशु चिकित्सा अधिकारी डॉ. विजय अमृतराज के नेतृत्व में अभियान का निर्देश दिया। इस ड्राइव का उद्देश्य शहर भर में स्वच्छता और नियमों का पालन सुनिश्चित करना है।
