India's data centre sector has attracted USD 173 billion in investment commitments since 2021, with investors showing strong confidence due to increased technology adoption. The market added approximately 130 MW of new capacity in the first half of 2026, and over 200 MW is expected in the latter half. Hyperscale and co-location investments form a significant portion of these commitments. This sustained growth, driven by cloud adoption, AI demand, and digitalization, is strengthening India's position as a leading data centre market in the APAC region.
