Russia's Volgograd Refinery Halts Operations After Drone Strike Damage
Times of India · world
Russia's Volgograd oil refinery has completely stopped processing crude oil following equipment damage from a drone assault on October 2. This shutdown is expected to further strain fuel supplies in Russia, which has already experienced shortages due to repeated attacks on its oil infrastructure. The refinery, capable of processing nearly 14 million tons of crude oil annually, accounts for almost 5% of Russia's total refining capacity. This incident marks another escalation in strikes targeting energy infrastructure between Russia and Ukraine.
