TTD temple on Venkatnarayana Road in Chennai's T Nagar has illegally encroached upon pavements by erecting heavy steel structures and sheds. These structures completely block pedestrian walkways, forcing people onto the busy carriageway. Temple authorities have also used police barricades to obstruct public space. While the Greater Chennai Corporation initially permitted a temporary structure for a festival, they now plan to remove the permanent construction due to pedestrian obstruction. The pavements were developed under Smart City funds and are crucial for public access.

चेन्नई के टी नगर में वेंकट नारयण रोड पर स्थित टीटीडी मंदिर ने भारी स्टील के ढांचे और शेड लगाकर फुटपाथों पर अवैध कब्जा कर लिया है। ये ढांचे पैदल चलने वालों के रास्ते को पूरी तरह से रोक देते हैं, जिससे लोग व्यस्त सड़क पर चलने को मजबूर हो जाते हैं। मंदिर प्रशासन ने सार्वजनिक स्थान को बाधित करने के लिए पुलिस बैरिकेड्स का भी इस्तेमाल किया है। जबकि ग्रेटर चेन्नई कॉर्पोरेशन ने शुरू में एक त्योहार के लिए एक अस्थायी ढांचे की अनुमति दी थी, अब वे पैदल चलने वालों के रास्ते में बाधा डालने के कारण स्थायी निर्माण को हटाने की योजना बना रहे हैं।
