बिनाइन खाप ने चंडीगढ़ के पांच पत्रकारों के खिलाफ दर्ज केस वापस लेने की मांग करते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन का ऐलान किया है। खाप का कहना है कि लाडवा में ड्रग्स के मुद्दे पर स्टिंग ऑपरेशन करने की वजह से पत्रकारों को निशाना बनाया गया। आंदोलन का नेतृत्व करने के लिए एक समन्वय समिति और एक कार्य समिति का गठन किया गया है, जिसमें देश भर की खापों को शामिल किया जा सकता है। ग्रामीणों और राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ताओं ने इस कार्रवाई की निंदा की है और गिरफ्तार पत्रकारों के साथ एकजुटता जताई है। खाप नेतृत्व ने चेतावनी दी है कि अगर उनकी मांगें पूरी नहीं हुईं तो विरोध प्रदर्शन तेज किया जाएगा।
