Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has warned of a prolonged drinking water and power crisis extending until July next year, attributing it to the El Nino phenomenon. Addressing a high-level meeting, he stated that reservoirs have critically low water stocks, with temperatures expected to rise and electricity demand significantly increasing. The Chief Minister urged citizens to conserve water and power, comparing the need for adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also announced a special employment guarantee scheme to support workers during this period.

तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी ने अल नीनो के कारण अगले साल जुलाई तक पीने के पानी और बिजली के लंबे संकट की चेतावनी दी है। एक उच्च-स्तरीय बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए, उन्होंने कहा कि जलाशयों में पानी का भंडार बहुत कम है, तापमान बढ़ने और बिजली की मांग में काफी वृद्धि होने की उम्मीद है। मुख्यमंत्री ने नागरिकों से पानी और बिजली बचाने का आग्रह किया, और अनुकूलन की आवश्यकता की तुलना COVID-19 महामारी से की। उन्होंने इस अवधि के दौरान श्रमिकों का समर्थन करने के लिए एक विशेष रोजगार गारंटी योजना की भी घोषणा की।
