Konaseema Railway Line Project Remains Unbuilt 26 Years After Foundation Stone Laid

The 57-km Kotipalli-Narsapur railway line in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, for which the foundation stone was laid 26 years ago, is still incomplete. The Konaseema Railway Sadhana Samithi has revived its campaign, demanding the project's completion. While the Ministry of Railways has spent over ₹1,181 crore, the Andhra Pradesh government has only contributed ₹52.69 crore towards its share of the ₹2,120 crore sanctioned cost. The project's progress is stalled pending land acquisition and the completion of major bridges, with campaigners blaming the state government for the significant delays.

डॉ. बी. आर. अम्बेडकर कोनासीमा जिले में 57 किलोमीटर लंबी कोतिपल्ली-नरसापुर रेलवे लाइन, जिसकी नींव 26 साल पहले रखी गई थी, अभी तक अधूरी है। कोनासीमा रेलवे साधना समिति ने प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा करने की मांग को लेकर अपना अभियान फिर से शुरू कर दिया है। रेल मंत्रालय ने ₹1,181 करोड़ से ज़्यादा खर्च किए हैं, लेकिन आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने ₹2,120 करोड़ की स्वीकृत लागत में अपने हिस्से के लिए केवल ₹52.69 करोड़ का ही योगदान दिया है। ज़मीन अधिग्रहण और बड़े पुलों के पूरा न होने के कारण प्रोजेक्ट का काम रुका हुआ है, और अभियान चलाने वाले राज्य सरकार को इस बड़ी देरी के लिए दोषी ठहरा रहे हैं।
