The "very severe" cyclonic storm made landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast on October 28. Gudabanda in East Singhbhum recorded the highest rainfall of 71.4 mm. An Orange alert for heavy rain is active for several districts, including Garhwa and Palamu, while a yellow alert covers others like Ranchi and East Singhbhum. The cyclonic system is expected to weaken by October 30.
