WHO Warns of Devastating Consequences from Delayed Aid Entry into Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that repeated delays in delivering essential supplies to Gaza risk devastating consequences for Palestinians. Humanitarian aid can only enter through the Kerem Shalom crossing, while Rafah is restricted to limited movement. WHO representative Reinhilde Van De Weerdt highlighted that essential medicines and prosthetics are being unnecessarily held up. She called for unimpeded and predictable entry of supplies at scale, emphasizing the urgent need for multiple crossing points as winter approaches and risks of disease outbreaks increase.
