The woman sustained a graze wound to her forehead, and her cousin was injured by a second shot. The accused, who had been trying to reconcile after a year-long separation, then fled and attempted suicide twice by hanging. He is in critical condition, while the woman and her cousin were treated and discharged. Police recovered a country-made pistol and empty cartridges from the scene.

भोपाल में 27 साल के होम्योपैथी एमडी छात्र ने रिश्ते के झगड़े के बाद अपनी 28 साल की महिला बैचमेट को गोली मार दी। महिला को माथे पर हल्का घाव आया, और दूसरी गोली से उसके चचेरे भाई को चोट लगी। आरोपी, जो एक साल के अलगाव के बाद सुलह की कोशिश कर रहा था, फिर भाग गया और दो बार फांसी लगाकर खुदकुशी की कोशिश की। वह गंभीर हालत में है, जबकि महिला और उसके चचेरे भाई का इलाज कर छुट्टी दे दी गई। पुलिस ने मौके से एक देशी पिस्तौल और खाली कारतूस बरामद किए।
