The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a comprehensive order for infant nutrition products, including formula milk. The new regulations prohibit advertising, free samples, gifts, and social media promotions for these products. All packages must prominently display 'Mother's Milk is Best for Your Baby'. The FDA has also stipulated fines of up to Rs 10 lakh for violations like misleading advertisements and substandard food. This order aims to protect vulnerable infants by ensuring accurate product information and discouraging undue promotion of formula milk.

महाराष्ट्र फूड एंड ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (FDA) ने शिशु पोषण उत्पादों, जिसमें फार्मूला मिल्क भी शामिल है, के लिए एक व्यापक आदेश जारी किया है। नए नियमों के तहत इन उत्पादों के विज्ञापन, मुफ्त सैंपल, उपहार और सोशल मीडिया प्रमोशन पर रोक लगा दी गई है। सभी पैकेजों पर 'माँ का दूध आपके बच्चे के लिए सबसे अच्छा है' का प्रमुखता से उल्लेख होना चाहिए। FDA ने भ्रामक विज्ञापन और घटिया भोजन जैसे उल्लंघनों के लिए 10 लाख रुपये तक के जुर्माने का भी प्रावधान किया है। इस आदेश का उद्देश्य सटीक उत्पाद जानकारी सुनिश्चित करके और फार्मूला मिल्क के अनुचित प्रचार को हतोत्साहित करके कमजोर शिशुओं की रक्षा करना है।
