Surat Man Kills Mother and Brother Over Property Dispute

A 65-year-old woman and her youngest son were fatally stabbed in Surat by her elder son due to a dispute over rental income from six shops. The accused, Srinivas, was unhappy that his mother gave the entire Rs 60,000 monthly rent to his younger brother, Raju, with whom she lived. Despite previous attempts at reconciliation and a prior incident two years ago, the dispute escalated. Police have arrested Srinivas, who reportedly also attempted to kill his mother previously. The family resided in the same house but on different floors.
