Patient Dies, Two Injured After Oxygen Cylinder Explodes Inside Ambulance

A 35-year-old patient died and two others were injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded inside a private ambulance in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district. The incident occurred outside Udala sub-divisional hospital on Thursday evening. The explosion was powerful enough to blow off the ambulance's roof. The patient, suffering from a severe blood infection, was being transferred to Bhubaneswar when the accident happened. Police are investigating the cause, which is suspected to be a gas leak triggering a fire before the cylinder burst.
