Global funds are reducing or completely exiting their Indian stock portfolios due to a lack of AI investment themes and lukewarm corporate earnings. This marks a reversal for India, now seen as Asia's least-favored market by some investors. Foreign portfolio ownership has fallen to a 17-year low, with about $25 billion withdrawn this year. While India boasts high economic growth, it struggles to compete with AI-driven returns in South Korea and Taiwan.
