The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on 15 Sudanese military and militia commanders accused of war crimes, including weaponised rape and torture, during the fall of el-Fasher. The measures, which include travel bans and asset freezes, target leaders from both the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces. This action follows UK-funded investigations revealing systematic starvation and sexual violence against civilians. The UK is also providing £5 million for survivor support and £10 million in humanitarian aid amidst the ongoing civil war.
