Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwar has acknowledged the significant financial pressure on the state due to its five guarantee schemes. Initially estimated to cost between ₹40,000 crore and ₹45,000 crore, the schemes now exceed ₹50,000 crore annually. Parameshwar stated that the financial burden was anticipated when the guarantees were announced. Despite the pressure, he assured that the government would continue to manage the expenses, as it has for the past three years.
