The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed its Common Recruitment Test (CRT) for Principal and Vice-Principal positions in the Education Department. The exam, originally scheduled for December 1, 2026, will now take place on January 9, 2027. This postponement follows a request from the Government School Teachers Association, citing difficulties for teachers in preparing due to professional responsibilities and deployment as Booth Level Officers. The recruitment drive aims to fill 24 Principal and 704 Vice-Principal vacancies. Candidates shortlisted after the CRT will proceed to the interview stage.
