India's Sports Ministry has dropped para-shooting coach Jai Prakash Nautiyal from the Asian Para Games 2026 contingent following allegations of irregularities and demanding kickbacks. A 166-athlete squad has been approved for the event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with Jeevan L Rai replacing Nautiyal. Athletes protested the selection process, demanding Nautiyal's removal and an investigation. Despite protests, the cycling squad additions were resisted. The contingent includes medal hopefuls like Bhavina Patel and Pramod Bhagat, with para-athletics forming the largest group.
