Thane Court Extends Custody of Two Accused in UBT Activist Murder Case

A Thane magistrate court has extended the police custody of two individuals accused in the murder of UBT activist Pradeep Purnekar by two days. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) requested more time for interrogation and to recover remaining weapons. The SIT has already recovered two choppers and a gun allegedly used in the crime and is searching for another firearm. The victim's family suspects a conspiracy, claiming the accused were hired and presented evidence suggesting a Shiv Sena functionary's involvement.
