German federal prosecutors have charged a 57-year-old Berlin businesswoman, Ilona W., with intelligence activities for Russia. Holding German and Ukrainian citizenship, she allegedly used her marketing agency and lobbying association contacts to help a Russian intelligence officer from the Russian Embassy in Berlin. Prosecutors claim she provided information and sought access to influential circles, aiming to build an intelligence network.
