Former India coach Ravi Shastri has advised Jasprit Bumrah to focus primarily on Test cricket and play ODIs and T20Is sporadically until the 2027 ODI World Cup. Shastri believes Bumrah should be preserved for crucial Test matches, like the upcoming New Zealand tour. He also welcomed Bhuvneshwar Kumar's T20I recall and supported Mohammed Shami's return to the ODI and Test squads. Shastri highlighted fielding as India's biggest area for improvement and noted that the New Zealand tour will be a key indicator of Indian cricket's direction.
