Marathwada Swings From Deluge To Drought

Marathwada has experienced extreme weather shifts, moving from severe floods a year ago to a significant drought this year. Last September, the region received over 200% of its expected rainfall, causing widespread flooding. Currently, Marathwada has received only 44% of its average rainfall, impacting Kharif crops and diminishing Rabi prospects. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the region to assess the drought situation, noting the drastic change in water bodies.

मराठवाड़ा में बाढ़ के बाद सूखा

पिछले साल मराठवाड़ा में भयानक बाढ़ आई थी, लेकिन इस साल वहां सूखा पड़ा है। सितंबर में उम्मीद से 200% ज़्यादा बारिश हुई थी, जिससे बाढ़ आ गई थी। अब तक मराठवाड़ा में सिर्फ 44% बारिश हुई है। इससे खरीफ की फसलें खराब हो गईं और रबी की उम्मीदें भी कम हो गई हैं। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने सूखाग्रस्त इलाकों का दौरा कर हालात देखे और पानी की कमी पर चिंता जताई।
