Actress Meghana Raj Sarja revealed her conditions before accepting a role in the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2. She inquired with the makers if her character would be treated as mere 'set property' or if she would have scenes with the lead actor. Skeptical about the offer, she even had her father verify it with co-star Shiva Rajkumar. Sarja confirmed that her portions were filmed with Rajinikanth over a year, despite the role being trimmed in the final cut. The film has achieved significant box office success, becoming the second-highest-grossing Tamil film.
