Exam Reforms: Panel Eyes 'Debundling' of Responsibilities for Fairness

A Nandan Nilekani-led task force is prioritising exam reforms by 'debundling' responsibilities like question-setting and exam conduct to separate agencies. This aims to limit the concentration of control over the examination process. The plan also includes establishing exam centres in every district and creating a common calendar for major testing bodies like NTA, SSC, IBPS, and RRBs. This coordinated scheduling could reduce clashes and improve infrastructure utilisation. The strategy seeks to close geographic gaps in test-centre availability and establish uniform standards for examination facilities.

नंदन नीलेकणी के नेतृत्व वाला एक कार्यबल प्रश्न-पत्र तैयार करने और परीक्षा कराने जैसी जिम्मेदारियों को अलग-अलग एजेंसियों को सौंपकर परीक्षा सुधारों को प्राथमिकता दे रहा है। इसका उद्देश्य परीक्षा प्रक्रिया पर नियंत्रण के केंद्रीकरण को सीमित करना है। इस योजना में हर जिले में परीक्षा केंद्र स्थापित करना और NTA, SSC, IBPS और RRB जैसे प्रमुख परीक्षा निकायों के लिए एक सामान्य कैलेंडर बनाना भी शामिल है। यह समन्वित शेड्यूलिंग टकराव को कम कर सकती है और बुनियादी ढांचे के उपयोग में सुधार कर सकती है। यह रणनीति परीक्षा-केंद्रों की उपलब्धता में भौगोलिक अंतर को पाटने और परीक्षा सुविधाओं के लिए समान मानक स्थापित करने का प्रयास करती है।
