The Karnataka High Court has expressed serious concern over a staff nurse at KIMS, Hubballi, receiving a consolidated salary of only ₹10,000 per month for nearly 16 years. This prolonged delay is due to the authorities' failure to issue her a caste validity certificate, despite multiple court directives since 2010. The court noted another employee in a similar position receives a regular pay scale of ₹36,000 to ₹67,550. The Bench has directed the government to explain why salary losses should not be recovered from responsible officials.
