Gujarat Driver Assaulted, Held Captive For Hours Over Misunderstanding

A 21-year-old driver in Rajkot, Gujarat, was brutally assaulted and held captive for nearly four hours after being mistaken for someone who had hurled abuses. The victim, Vikram Bhil, was forced onto a motorcycle, beaten with wooden sticks, locked in a room, and had his hair forcibly cut. His mobile phone was also destroyed during the ordeal. He managed to escape after approximately four hours when his captors were distracted. Adipur police have registered a case against three individuals for the incident, which appears to stem from a misunderstanding.

गुजरात के राजकोट में 21 साल के एक ड्राइवर को सिर्फ इसलिए बुरी तरह पीटा गया और करीब चार घंटे तक बंधक बनाकर रखा गया क्योंकि उसे किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति के लिए गलत समझा गया था जिसने गाली-गलौज की थी। पीड़ित विक्रम भील को मोटरसाइकिल पर बिठाया गया, लकड़ी की छड़ियों से पीटा गया, एक कमरे में बंद कर दिया गया और जबरन उसके बाल काट दिए गए। इस दौरान उसका मोबाइल फोन भी तोड़ दिया गया। करीब चार घंटे बाद जब उसके अपहरणकर्ता ध्यान भटका रहे थे, तब वह भागने में सफल रहा। आदिपुर पुलिस ने इस घटना के संबंध में तीन लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है, जो एक गलतफहमी का नतीजा लगती है।
