A major controversy has erupted in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit Sadar constituency over alleged changes to voter lists ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The Congress party claims that 13,150 voters had their names and fathers' names altered, while their EPIC numbers, ages, and genders remained the same. The party further alleges that all affected voters belong to the Muslim community. Following the complaint, the Election Commission removed officials and operators involved in the voter list process and ordered a statewide review.
