केंद्रीय मंत्री चिराग पासवान ने बिहार में बढ़ते छेड़छाड़ के मामलों पर शर्मिंदगी जताई, जिसमें जमुई और समस्तीपुर की घटनाएं भी शामिल हैं। उन्होंने पुलिस की प्रभावशीलता पर सवाल उठाया और लापरवाह अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की। पासवान ने कहा कि गठबंधन सहयोगी के तौर पर वे बिगड़ती कानून व्यवस्था पर चुप नहीं रह सकते। उन्होंने अपराधियों में कानून का डर पैदा करने और महिलाओं की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। पासवान ने सरकार में अपनी स्थिति के बावजूद इन मुद्दों को उठाना जारी रखने का संकल्प लिया।
