Yogi Adityanath: Ineligible voter names must be removed for India's security

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that removing illegally included ineligible names from voter lists is crucial for India's security and unity. He emphasized the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise as vital for strengthening democratic heritage. Adityanath highlighted the necessity of verifying deceased, permanently shifted, and duplicate entries. He also urged eligible citizens to register to build a clean and transparent voter list, amidst opposition allegations of eligible voter deletions which the Election Commission has denied.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि मतदाता सूची में अवैध रूप से शामिल अयोग्य नामों को हटाना भारत की सुरक्षा और एकता के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है। उन्होंने स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) अभ्यास को लोकतांत्रिक विरासत को मजबूत करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण बताया। आदित्यनाथ ने मृत, स्थायी रूप से स्थानांतरित और डुप्लिकेट प्रविष्टियों को सत्यापित करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने योग्य नागरिकों से एक स्वच्छ और पारदर्शी मतदाता सूची बनाने के लिए पंजीकरण कराने का आग्रह किया, जबकि विपक्ष के योग्य मतदाताओं को हटाने के आरोपों के बीच चुनाव आयोग ने इससे इनकार किया है।
