An 8-year-old boy narrowly escaped a serious accident in Panipat, Haryana, when he fell into an open drain while crossing a road. The incident occurred on Devi Mandir Road, where a section of the drain lacked a slab, causing the child to lose his balance. Fortunately, a local resident quickly intervened and pulled the boy to safety. This event raises concerns as a woman also fell into a similar drain on the same road last month, highlighting inadequate safety measures by the municipal corporation.
